Plano High School US GOVERNMENT TEXT BOOK DROP OFF (semester 1 students) {see your email} Next week, between Tuesday, January 26th and Friday, January 29th, we will have textbook drop off for 1st semester US Government and Politics students. Students who are coming in person can simply go to the Innovation Center during the day and give the book to Jessica Dellorto or Christine Bolin. Remote students need to find the time to return their books to the school in the afternoon. Drop-off will occur between 12:30pm and 3:00pm at the entrance in back of the school by the Auditorium. From 3:00pm-4:00pm, books can be dropped off in the Main Office. It is critical to get these books back, as they will be sanitized and distributed to 2nd semester US Government and Politics students. If the book is not returned by the end of the day on Friday, January 29th, a fee for the cost of replacing the book will be applied to your account in PowerSchool until the book is returned. Please contact me if you have any questions about this message. Sincerely, Brennan Denny Assistant Principal Plano High School 630-552-3178 ext 7503 bdenny@plano88.org

We hope everyone is looking forward to a nice break from school to relax, reflect, and refresh for the next semester! When we return in January your student(s) will begin the Course Selection Process for the 2021-2022 school year. If you have been involved in course selection at PHS in the past things will look a bit different this year as we move towards aligning our courses to Career Pathways! Students will be able to review the 5 different Career Pathways that will be available starting in the 2021-2022 school year and can select their high school courses based on the career pathway they are interested in. As you work with your student(s) to review and select their courses for the 2021-2022 PHS school year please draw your attention to the following items that will be very important and helpful as your student selects their classes. Please review these items and discuss with your student a pathway of interest prior to returning to school on January 7th: (see your parent & student email for the links to:) - Career Pathway Presentation - Agriculture Education - Business, Marketing, and Computer Education - Family and Consumer Sciences - Health Sciences Technology - Technology and Engineering Education - Indian Valley Vocational Center (IVVC) Virtual Tour of Programs - IVVC FAQs - IVVC Info Video If you have any questions as you browse through this information please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s School Counselor. We are here and happy to help you through this process in any way that we can! We look forward to seeing everyone in January when we will begin the course selection process!
