You received a letter last week regarding the requirement for your child to complete ACCESS testing as an English Language Learner at Plano High School. The Illinois State Board of Education is delaying this exam until further notice. As a result, you may disregard the testing schedule for the weeks of March 16th through March 26th outlined in the previous message, and your child will attend all classes according to their typical schedule during this time.
We will communicate any updates to the testing plan when we get additional information from the State.
Please let Mr. Denny know if you have any questions.

ATTENTION PLANO HIGH SCHOOL FAMILIES
The University of Chicago has once again opened up the 5Essential Survey and I am asking you to please take 20 minutes to complete this survey. By taking this survey it will allow you to provide anonymous feedback to Plano High School. I will use this information in a variety of ways to improve our academics, climate, culture, social/emotional needs and communication.
A parent survey report will be generated if at least 20 percent of parents respond to the survey. In breaking it down, I need 138 of our parents/guardians to complete the survey in order to reach the 20 percent goal.
While the parent data will not be made public, the parent report will be made available to the school and district administrators and will enable them to make considerations based on the responses given by Plano High School parents/guardians. Your participation in the parent survey will help us understand our school even better and help guide our continuous effort to improve.
Please visit http://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/survey/parent/ to take the parent survey.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the Plano High School office.
Thank you in advance for taking the time out of your day to complete this survey.
Regards,
Jim Seput, Principal
