Important Announcements

Important Message from PHS Athletic Department:

This week Tuesday through Thursday, there will be some changes due to the forecasted excessive heat and humidity levels.  All the Golf matches, Cross Country meets, and Soccer games scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have been canceled or rescheduled.  Football and Cheer are still scheduled for Friday. Also, practices will be moved indoors as best as we can to accommodate our student athletes.  To do that and allow our teams to share our gym, we will use the following schedule.  We anticipate resuming our regularly scheduled practices and games on Friday.  Please review the schedule below if your student-athlete participates in Golf, Cross Country, Soccer, Football or Cheer:

  • Boys Golf-8/24 has been canceled, date is TBD.
  • Girls Golf-8/22 has been postponed to 9/12 @4:00pm.
*Practice will be limited outside today with several opportunities for water/breaks. No practice on Wednesday and Thursday.

  • Cross Country-8/23 has been canceled with no makeup date.

*Practice will be held indoors at the middle school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  • Soccer-8/22 has been canceled, date is TBD
  • Soccer-8/23 has been postponed to 9/5 @4:30pm.
  • Soccer-8/24 has been canceled, date is TBD.

*Soccer will practice in the Main Gym/Aux Gym on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-7:30pm. No practice on Thursday.

  • Football-8/25 is still scheduled vs. Ottawa.

*Football will practice outside on Tuesday with several opportunities for water/breaks. Football will practice in the Main Gym/Aux Gym on Wednesday from 3:30pm-5:30pm. On Thursday football will be inside using a classroom.

  • Cheer-8/25 is still scheduled vs. Ottawa.
*Cheer will practice in the Main Gym (west side) on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30pm-5:30pm. No practice on Tuesday.


Thank you for your patience as our commitment is to the safety and wellbeing of our student-athletes and coaching staff. Our athletic trainer will be ensuring our student-athletes are properly hydrated and monitored closely due to the increased heat conditions.
