At a recent home basketball game, D88 volunteer Mark Parris received his meritorious service certificate from the Illinois State Board of Education as part of its prestigious “Those Who Excel” Program. Mark volunteers countless hours of time taking stunning photos of Plano School District students and staff at sporting and extra-curricular events. He also takes photos of Plano community members at many events, including parades and festivals. Mark posts the photos on social media and shares them with family members so they can cherish these special memories for years to come. For his beautiful photos, his love of community and his selfless volunteerism, District 88 would like to thank and commend Mark Parris for his service and congratulate him on this very worthy award.
