School Nurse with Mask

Please be advised about a few changes to the District 88 health office policies for the 2022/23 school year. After speaking with the Kendall County Health Department and the Plano School District Office, below is a brief summary of protocols related to COVID-19:

  • If a student tests positive for COVID-19, please contact their building nurse as soon as possible, and provide a copy of their positive test result. Lab and home tests are accepted. Positive individuals are required to isolate themselves at home for five (5) days from the onset of their symptoms, and should wear a mask upon return for an additional five (5) days.
  • Students should stay home when feeling ill. In order to return to school after being ill, students must have been fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medications, and vomit- and diarrhea-free, for at least 24 hours.

Please reach out to your building nurse with any questions or concerns.
