Dear D88 Parent/Guardian and Staff Members:
This message is to inform you that all schools in the Plano School District will be taking part in a remote learning day on Thursday, February 17th, due to predictions of ice, heavy snow and hazardous road conditions under a winter storm warning until Thursday at 9:00 pm.
The district-wide remote learning schedule is as follows:
8-11 AM - Synchronous Learning (students will virtually attend class at the same time as your instructors and classmates)
11 AM-11:30 AM - Lunch Break
11:30 AM-2:00 PM - Individual Learning Activities
Attendance for remote learning attendance requires student engagement. Students should log-in to their Schoology accounts and complete assignments as assigned by the teacher. Students must participate in live instruction sessions and communicate with the teacher and other students, if applicable. Students will be marked absent if they do not participate in remote learning activities.
The Help Desk is available to all Plano School District students. Please contact the Tech Hotline at 630/552-3178, extension 7557, if you are experiencing issues with your Chromebook. Please note that the Tech Department cannot support WiFi connectivity issues in your home or personal devices.
All buildings will be closed to provide staff time to clear the lots and sidewalks. Practices and games are all canceled and rescheduled dates will be coming out soon.

Este mensaje es para informarle que todas las escuelas del Distrito Escolar de Plano participarán en un día de aprendizaje remoto el jueves 17 de febrero debido a las predicciones de hielo, nieve intensa y condiciones viales peligrosas bajo una advertencia de tormenta invernal hasta el jueves a las 9. :00 p. m.
El horario de aprendizaje remoto en todo el distrito es el siguiente:
8-11 AM - Aprendizaje sincrónico (los estudiantes asistirán a clase virtualmente al mismo tiempo que sus instructores y compañeros de clase)
11 AM-11:30 AM - Pausa para el almuerzo
11:30 AM-2:00 PM - Actividades de aprendizaje individual
La asistencia para el aprendizaje remoto requiere la participación de los estudiantes. Los estudiantes deben iniciar sesión en sus cuentas de Schoology y completar las tareas asignadas por el maestro. Los estudiantes deben participar en sesiones de instrucción en vivo y comunicarse con el maestro y otros estudiantes, si corresponde. Los estudiantes serán marcados como ausentes si no participan en actividades de aprendizaje remoto.
La mesa de ayuda está disponible para todos los estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de Plano. Comuníquese con la línea directa de tecnología al 630/552-3178, extensión 7557, si tiene problemas con su Chromebook.
