Mr. Mike Jernigan was appointed by the Plano Board of Education during a Special Board Meeting on Monday, May 12th to fill the two-year vacancy until April 2027. Letters of interest were submitted to the Board by April 30th and the two candidates were interviewed in closed session during the May 12th meeting. The Board determined that Mr. Jernigan met the qualifications previously established by the Board and has demonstrated the willingness to accept the duties and responsibilities of a Board member.
