District 88 students and staff answered the call to create special valentines for Senator Sue Rezin's Senior Card Drive. We delivered hundreds of cards to Senator Rezin's office and then she and her staff delivered all of the cards they received to area senior housing developments and nursing homes. They delivered nearly 5,000 cards! D88 also took valentines directly to Cedarhurst in Yorkville and pictured are some of those cards.
District 88 sends heartfelt thanks to the students who made valentines. Also, thank you to those who helped deliver them to Senator Rezin's office and special thanks to the teachers and sponsors who spearheaded this fun project.
"It is truly amazing to see what our community can do when we work together to uplift those who need some extra cheer," said Senator Rezin in a thank you note to the district office.
