Welcome Letter from the Chief School Business Official

Welcome to Plano CUSD 88!

As the Chief School Business Official, it is my privilege to support the outstanding educational programs and opportunities offered in Plano CUSD #88. In Plano CUSD #88 we are committed to a culture of Learning, Collaboration and Results. It is my belief that behind every exceptional educational experience lies a foundation of careful planning, responsible budgeting, and strategic management—all aimed at ensuring our students, teachers, and staff have the resources they need to succeed.

Our district's financial commitments that have been identified by the Finance Committee are the following:

1. We will set aside $1.3M of district revenue to abate the debt issue and help our community in terms of not passing along additional taxes. 

2. We will maintain current services and programs. Only very modest increases (for example, CPI) to the budget will be approved over the next five years. 

3. We will closely monitor the fund balances in order to ensure that the District has  contingency funds for emergencies and unexpected changes in revenue. 

4. We will improve and maintain facilities.

Transparency, collaboration, and accountability are core to everything we do in the Business Office. We believe that an engaged and informed community is essential for the success of our students.
