Welcome to Plano CUSD 88 Schoology Parent Access! This guide is intended to help you learn how to navigate around Schoology. For more in-depth guidance on specific Schoology features, check out the Help Center at support.schoology.com.

What Is Schoology? Plano CUSD 88 has choosen Schoology to be their new LMS platform. Teachers will use Schoology to post their classroom materials online; provide a safe forum for students to discuss their ideas and collaborate on projects; and to assign and collect homework electronically. It helps students stay organized and it keeps the class connected.

With Schoology Parent Access, parents/guardians will be able to:

• View their own child(ren)’s courses and groups

• View their own child(ren)’s profile, including blog, portfolio and badges

• View their own child(ren)’s Schoology calendar to see assignments and events

• View their own child(ren)’s activity in courses or groups

• View teacher provided materials, posts, and comments in their own child(ren)’s courses

• View media albums

• View scores and grades

• View tests/quizzes if they are visible to students

• Sign up to receive a daily or weekly emailed report of their child(ren)’s work in Schoology

• Sign up to receive notifications if an assignment is overdue

Parents/guardians will not be able to:

• Interact with materials

• Complete assignments or assessments

• Add posts or comments

• View posts or comments added by other students

• View student or teacher Google files (depending on share settings)
