Mr. Tim Campbell is the President of the Plano School District Board of Education. He originally was elected in 2011 and recently was re-elected for a third time and will serve a two-year term until April 2021. Mr. Campbell is Co-Owner/Vice President of Lite Construction.
Mr. Mike Jernigan was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Board in May 2015 and served until 2017. He was appointed in May 2017 to fill a two-year unexpired term until April 2019 and was just re-elected to serve until April 2023. Mr. Jernigan is Co-Owner/Vice President of Bur Oak Group Inc.
Mr. Kyle Klatt was appointed in May 2017 to fill a two-year unexpired vacancy on the Board and, at the most recent election, was re-elected to serve until April 2023. Mr. Klatt is service technician with Mechanical Inc.
Mrs. Estela Martinez was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Board in September 2008 and ran and was elected to serve a full term which expired in April 2013. She has been re-elected twice and will serve until 2021. Mrs. Martinez is an Administrative Assistant at Fabtek Aero in Plano.
Mrs. Kim Velazquez was appointed to fill a vacant seat on the Board of Education in September 2010 and was just re-elected to serve her third four-year term until 2023. Mrs. Velazquez is the Training Coordinator for Joliet Junior College Corporate and Community Services.
Mr. Tim Waldrop was elected to a two-year term on the Board of Education in April 2019 and was re-elected to serve until April 2023. Mr. Waldrop is employed at Lite Construction.
Mr. Jim Ward is currently the Vice President of the Board of Education. He was elected to the Board of Education in 2013 and was re-elected for the second time and will serve a four-year term until April 2021. Mr. Ward is a National Account Designer for International Paper in Aurora.
Board members are elected to staggered four-year terms. As public servants, they spend many volunteer hours on school business.
