PH Miller Young Leaders Honored

March 6, 2019

Two first grade students from P.H. Miller School were recently recognized at the Board of Education meeting held at their building.  Penelope A. and Kellen C. were honored because they were chosen to attend the upcoming Illinois Principals Association student breakfast.  Each student exhibits leadership skills and has excellent academic scores, along with being a good citizen at P.H. Miller School.

Penelope A. helped Principal Mrs. Laurel Mateyka lead the pledge of allegiance.  Penelope loves to do experiments, science projects and secret code games.  She also loves to read, draw, color and do art projects.  Penelope wants to learn to ice skate, roller skate and master swimming and handstands.  She would like to keep learning her times tables, harder math problems and Spanish.

Kellen C. is proud of the "Super Student" medallion he received from Superintendent Baker and the Board of Education.  He really enjoys playing soccer. Kellen attends the Explorer's Club at school and is also a member of the Awana Club at his church.  Kellen enjoys reading and loves learning about dinosaurs.  He also loves all things Super Heroes and enjoys playing video games.
