Order Your Native Plants Today–Support Middle School!

The Plano Middle School Leadership students are sponsoring the 7th Annual Native Plant Sale to raise funds for native landscape improvements at the school and encourage homeowners to incorporate plants that support Illinois wildlife into their yards.  Orders will be taken through Wednesday, May 1, with a pick-up date of Wednesday, May 15,  2:40-6:00 p.m. at the Maintenance Building behind the Administration Office at 802 S. Hale Street.  

Plants are sold in 2” plant plugs, with good root systems and easy to plant.  Plugs sell for $2.00 or $3.00, depending on species.  Plant species available this year include top favorites like Butterfly Weed & Little Bluestem, as well as new offerings like Marsh Marigold,Long-Beaked Sedge, Leadplant, & Stout Blue-Eyed Grass.

As a special offering this year, orders totaling $50.00 or more will be eligible to receive a free one hour yard consultation by members of The Conservation Foundation.  The TCF promotes native plant use by homeowners through a yard sign program called, “Conservation@Home”.
