Enrichment Field Trips and Lectures @ PMS!

December 18, 2015
Julia Bickhaus, a 7th grader, gave an enrichment lecture about her experiences volunteering for the Fox Valley Wildlife Center.  Her presentation was well attended, and many students are now interested in volunteering their own time. WILDLIFE     Al Gruidl, a retired history teacher and local expert on the assassination of JFK, gave a lecture for the anniversary of Kennedy's assassination.  The interest level and number of questions were so high that Mr. Gruidl had to return for a second lecture. JFK     Dr. Schlapp, of the Countryside Veterinary Clinic, gave a lecture to a group of 7th and 8th grade students about becoming a veterinarian.  Then he was kind enough to invite a group on a tour of the clinic.  A group of students were lucky enough to go on a behind-the-scenes tour to understand the inner workings of a veterinary clinic and the daily experiences of the staff. VET1 VET2 VET3 VET4       Sarah Kuntzman, a 7th grade science teacher, gave the first travel enrichment lecture of the year.  She talked about going on a Caribbean cruise, showing pictures and video from the trip.  This was the perfect enrichment for such a cold day!
