Board Releases RFP for Copier Paper

The Plano Community Unit School District No. 88 Board of Education has released a request for proposal for copier paper for school use during the 2019-20 school year.  The proposals will be reviewed at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, in the Administration Office located at 800 S. Hale Street, Plano, Illinois.  Proposals must be submitted in writing before 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.  A sample copy of the ream of paper must be submitted by the same deadline.



The copier paper shall meet the following specifications:

  • 8½ x 11 size white copier paper
  • The paper brand must be readily identifiable
  • 20# bond for copiers, duplicators, laser printers and plain paper fax
  • Brightness rating of at least 92
  • Paper shall be trimmed four sides rotary cut
  • Paper must feed smoothly through all machines
  • Paper must produce clear, legible copy on both sides, and be free of curl
  • Each case shall contain 10 reams
  • Bidder will include a sample ream of paper with their proposal.


The paper sample and copies must meet ALL specifications listed above or the proposal will be excluded.  The Board of Education will review the administrators’ recommendation at the May 20, 2019 meeting.  The Board reserves the right to accept or reject all proposals.
