Mr. Tyler has been teaching in Plano since 1978. He is also the 8th Grade Team Leader. He graduated from Savanna High School in 1974. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Northern Illinois University in 1978. He earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Aurora University in 1997. While teaching in Plano he has taught 5th grade Math and Science, Math at both the Junior High and Senior High levels, and is currently teaching, Pre-Algebra and Algebra I at the middle school level.

Mr. Tyler is married to Mrs. Kathy Tyler who is a Computer Teacher at Plano High School and the District Computer Coordinator. He has a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Ryan. His favorite pastime is camping!

Mr. Tyler and his family reside in Plano.
