Music Class Field Trip
Students in Mrs. Amm's 6th grade class made sound stories. Sound stories are stories that include at least five instruments played three times each. After we performed the stories in front of our classmates, Mrs. Amm chose a select few to go to Grace's Place on Friday, Nov.14th.
That day we walked to Grace's Place and performed for the chidren. Some of the children could even play an instrument or two. Altogether, it was one of the best school experiences the 6th grade has had.
Plano Rockin' Christmas Collections
Emily G. Johns students are encouraged to contribute to the town's Rockin' Christmas collections for needy families and individuals. Students may bring in donations of non-perishable foods, toiletries, new hats, scarves, gloves, and socks, and new wrapped/boxed toys and stuffed animals to their homeroom teachers by Dec. 7th. The class with the most participation at each grade level will be rewarded with a party.
