BACK TO SCHOOL FAIR The Plano school district, the Kendall County Health Department and other local organizations will be holding a Back to School Fair at P.H. Miller School on August 2 from 1-4 PM. At this event, you will be able to obtain valuable information about local resources and services for children and families. In addition, while supplies last, families who attend will receive free school supplies for elementary age children. We hope to see you at the Back to School Fair! |

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The Plano School District will hold registration on Thursday, August 2 from Noon-7 PM. All new students should register at their respective school on this day. Last Spring, registration packets were sent home to all existing students and we asked for them to be returned to school before the end of the school year. If these were returned, students are considered as registered for the 2012-13 school year. If parents/guardians did not return packets for their students, they should return them on August 2. If students do not register by the first day of school, they risk being detained in the office and may not be able to attend class the first day. Late registration will also delay arrangements for bus service.
As a reminder, students entering kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades must have a current physical exam, as well as up-to-date immunizations, on file by the first day of school, which is August 20. Very important—Plano School District policy states that students in kindergarten, sixth and ninth grades will not be allowed to begin school if their physical and immunizations are not complete.
Students in grades kindergarten, two and six must have a current dental examination and kindergarten students must also have an eye examination, but these are not required by the first day of school. Dental and eye examination forms must be turned in to the school by October 15.
Classes begin on Monday, August 20 for students in grades 1-12, with half-day classes. The first full day of school for all students is Tuesday, August 21.
If you are a current student and did not receive a packet; will have a new student to the Plano School District; or wish to obtain more registration information, please contact the appropriate school listed below or the Administration Office at 800 S. Hale Street (next to Plano Middle School) or call 630/552-8978. Questions about bus transportation can be directed to 630/552-8980.
